How to Use a Kitchen Scale
I use a large stainless steel bowl when measuring out the dry ingredients in a recipe I’m making. I place the bowl on the kitchen scale, turn it on and let it set itself to zero. You can then start measuring out and weighing each of your dry ingredients. I find this scale really helpful as every so often I find recipes online from a UK website. In fact, most of the world uses metric measurements, vs imperial measurements that are used in the United States. So unless you are using a USA or Australian cookbook, you are going to have to follow the metric system of cooking measurements.
