Finding your life purpose is something you have to work at. You shouldn’t feel bad if you don’t know your purpose yet, because it’s very rare a person is born knowing exactly what they want to do in life. By conducting a few experiments, though, and regularly trying out new ways to find that purpose, you might just have an idea of what it is in the near future. It won’t come straight away, so you must be patient. Take a look at the suggestions below for a few creative ways to help you find your life purpose.
Be More Like A Child
Be more like you were as a kid. When we were children, we weren’t so aware of time. We pretty much did what we felt like, when we felt like it. What did you do most? Maybe you drew pictures, wrote poems, or did something else. Figure it out. See if there are ways you can start exploring the things you did as a child again.
Get some arts and crafts supplies. Sit down and write your first poem for years. Make a habit of doing these things and figuring out if you still enjoy them as much as you used to. These activities didn’t get less interesting, it’s just that as we get older we stop seeing ‘the point’ in doing things we’re not getting paid for.
Journal Regularly
Journaling regularly can help you spot patterns in your day to day life. You may be able to pinpoint something that’s stopping you from finding your purpose, or even get an idea of what your purpose could be. Dedicating just 5 minutes each day to your journal could be a huge help. Not only could you find your purpose, you might just find that you also feel less stressed.
Try Meditating
Meditating can help you to de-stress, be more creative – and it can even help answers you need come to you. Meditation, and other health and wellness methods can take practice, as it’s important we get into a specific brain wave state for it to work. Most of us have 100 thoughts per minute going through our heads! Practicing yoga a few days a week is a great way to tune out the daily stress and get in a bit of meditation.
Explore New Things
If you’ve been thinking about doing some kind of course for a while, explore it more. Maybe you could look into Grand Canyon University Nursing course in more detail. Maybe you could call somebody and ask for more information. If you keep thinking about something, there’s a chance you should explore it in more detail. Adult education courses at your local community high school are a great option to – you can choose from a variety of arts, crafts and even many fitness classes.
Spend Less Time With Others
Spending lots of time with others can actually be a huge distraction and stop you from getting to know yourself as much as you need to, as well as stop you from doing the work required to find your purpose!
Visualize the Outcome
You don’t need to know how it all happens yet; just have an image in your head of yourself when you have found your purpose. Find your life purpose – How do you feel? What does it look like? Keep this image in mind!
