Freelance Writing and Online Sales; Top Tips for Living the Nomad Lifestyle

Do you see this photo of the old dude sitting in his travel trailer? Right now that seems like heaven on earth to me. I would love to be able to throw in the towel, pack up a few suitcases, grab my laptop computer and head out for a grand road trip across the great U.S.A.

The sad reality is that I still have a few months to go on my current lease so I’m currently stuck in South Florida at the moment. However; I recently stepped away from corporate life – with little savings and without having another job lined up. I don’t recommend this strategy, but hey, sometimes life behaves in strange and interesting ways. I probably should have left that job months earlier, but that’s another story. Freelance Writing and Gypsy Living Tips

These blog posts all have one common thread, ways that I’ve made a few dollars in the past. Some of these methods I’m no longer using – I’ve had many different blogs, covering many niches over the years. So, the methods I use change on a regular basis. I also do a lot of freelance writing – much of that work is ghost written and appears on my client’s websites. But, remote jobs, at least on a part-time basis, are becoming more and more common. Check sites such as Pangian, Media Bistro or the Pro Blogger job board for possible remote and freelance job opportunities.

A few of these articles I’m sharing offer general marketing tips – like my post on how to create your online portfolio. FYI: I include a link to my portfolio on my resume. I also email the link to potential clients so they can see samples of my work including website content, landing pages, infographics, press releases, blog posts, newsletters and more.
