Halloween Decorating Fun
It’s here, it’s here – we’re just about getting to my favorite time of the year! I used to be a Halloween nut, and at one time I probably had more Halloween decorations than Christmas decorations.
I used to decorate my ENTIRE house, and used a ton of decorations both inside and in front of the house, including a large cemetery area. Each room was decorated in a certain spooky style – a few of my favorite Halloween room themes include:
- Witches’ Cottage
- Mad Scientists Laboratory
- Magic Alchemist’s Lair
- Victorian Parlor
- Creepy Crawly Kitchen
- Fortune Teller Parlor
- Haunted Mansion Dining Room
Halloween Socks
Are you looking for great costume ideas for your Haunted House Halloween Party? Then you’re in luck – here’s a great Halloween Sock collection that is Made in the USA – Chrissy’s Knee High Socks.
A few of my favorite ideas for costumes include witches, zombies, ghost bride, Renaissance festival and more. You could even coordinate your footwear with your outfit, for example – choosing a pair of candy corn striped socks to become a Candy Corn Witch!
Check out this gallery for a few of their Halloween sock designs.
Halloween Decorating Tips
As I mentioned before, I used to go nuts decorating my house for Halloween. I live in an apartment now so I don’t do as much as I used to, but it’s still one of my favorite holidays of the year. I’ve always found that thrift stores are a great source for inexpensive materials you can use as Halloween props and decorations.
The Mad Scientist’s Lair was always a favorite theme of mine. Check out your local flea markets, garage sales and thrift stores for inexpensive props that can be used to set up your very own Frankenstein’s Laboratory. Do you go all out decorating your home, apartment, or condo? I’d love to hear all about your Halloween decorating stories, tips and tricks!
