Most people want their home to stand out and enjoy the prospect of neighbors or passersby staring at it with envy. Having said that, you will also probably agree that you don’t want your home to become a public attraction. The secret is finding the right balance by building a house that’s gorgeous to look at while maintaining privacy. In this blog post, we will look at some very simple things you can do to bring out the best features in your home while creating more privacy at the same time.

Installing a Decorative Front Gate
A statement front gate is exactly what it says; a gate that makes a statement. Front gates are commonly installed outside your home, at the end of your driveway. Front gates are also practical – you can keep your cars protected in the driveway, which may help with things like car insurance premiums as well.
But, from a privacy perspective, a gate keeps people out, but it still draws in plenty of attention. Conduct a quick online search and you will find some absolutely stunning front gates that will instantly elevate your curb appeal to new heights. Adding an impressive front gate to your home adds something extra to your property, which can make it feel much bigger and evoke a sense of wonder.
Create Privacy with Window Decals
Window decals come in many varieties and essentially refer to decorative features that you use on your windows. You can find some pretty amazing customized graphics for windows that will turn heads, but still maintain a sense of privacy. The beauty of this idea is that the decorative window decals and graphics basically add a tint to your windows. So, you can still see out with ease, but no one can see inside your home. Decals are the perfect option for your windows and there’s a bonus as well – they can limit the strength of sunlight shining in your house, which stops things (curtains, upholstery, throw rugs, etc.) from becoming bleached during summer.
Beautiful Bushes Add Natural Privacy
Last but not least, you can take a more natural approach to adding a bit of privacy to your frontyard. If you have room for a front garden, then you should think about adding some beautiful bushes, shrubs, or other landscaping features around your home. A large hedge installed across the front yard could also be used in conjunction with a small wall that attaches to your front gate for the ultimate sense of privacy. Plants, flowering bushes, hedges and small trees come in a variety of sizes, look gorgeous and can add a splash of color to your exterior.Â
All three of these ideas can be used together to create more outdoor privacy around your home while still retaining its beauty. Or, you could start small and pick one idea, such as adding some small trees to your front yard. So, if you want to add a bit of privacy to your home – window decals, landscaping or a front gate are just a few ideas to consider.
