Going on a diet is a drag because, well, it’s hard work. You have to eat fewer calories, work out harder than ever before, and resist temptation. For people who claim to be foodies, none of the above sounds appealing, and there’s a good reason: they not!

Let’s face it; almost everybody on the planet prefers to eat themselves thin and not have to worry about counting calories. Of course, this isn’t possible according to the experts… or is it? As our combined knowledge of the subject gets better, it becomes apparent there is no need to starve to lose weight.

Supplements Are Miracle Workers

Why are they like miracle workers? It’s because they replace the body’s deficiency with the nutrients it needs to be efficient. Beta-Hydroxybutyrate or BHB is a great example. The liver doesn’t produce lots of it naturally and adding the supplement to your diet can encourage the body to burn fat rather than carbs. Plus, it tastes great when used in recipes.

Take a look at these excellent recipes to learn how to make Beta Hydroxybutyrate popsicles, gummy bears and slushies. Once you have more BHB in your system, the pounds will start to fall off without much effort.

Fiber Fills You Up

When you’re not hungry, there is less chance of you sneaking a snack and ruining your hard work. Foodies may think it’s not possible to avoid temptation, but all you need to do is eat strategically. What this means is that you should have meals at certain times and make recipes which consist of specific ingredients. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it makes or breaks your appetite. People who eat a bowl of stodgy oatmeal won’t need to eat again until lunch, where they can let loose again.

Little And Often = Success

Anyone who is hungry shouldn’t hold back on eating as will only lead to intense cravings. Once they hit, it’s very difficult to stop yourself from raiding the fridge. The key is to play tricks on your mind, for example, by eating smaller portion sizes. That way, you can have five or six meals instead of three and ease your hunger. Another alternative is food or meal sequencing. By eating protein and fats before carbs, your glucose levels won’t skyrocket. When they do, you get intense hunger pangs and feel as if you can eat a horse.

Follow an Omnivore Diet

The majority of people follow a omnivore diet and often like to pair their vegetables with a few pieces of meat. Sadly, this can be unhealthy as red meat may contain a lot of trans and saturated fats. So, it’s important to swap out higher fat products with types that are lean and packed with nutrients. Fish is perfect as it contains very few calories and is full of omega-3 fatty acids which help to smooth out the body’s processes.

As a rule, stay away from overly processed foods as they are full of salt and additives. Following a whole food plant-based diet is another way to eat yourself thin.
