Here’s How You Can Get that Hollywood Smile without Breaking the Bank

Please note: this is a contributed post.

If you know that you are not happy with your smile, you are not alone. Many people dream of having a white and bright Hollywood smile and it is important to know that you don’t have to break the bank to get it. After all, a few simple changes are all you need to boost your self-esteem and your confidence.

Avoid Homemade Whitening Products

Sure, you have probably heard of using strawberries or even lemon juice to try to whiten your teeth. The main reason for this is because they are acidic fruits and they bleach your teeth. The problem is that the acidity can really damage your teeth and they could even erode the enamel on your teeth as well.

If you want to avoid all of these problems, while still getting white teeth then it is so important that you visit a professional. Dentists and dental hygienists can whiten your teeth and they will work with you to make sure that you get the result you are looking for. If you are not happy with the appearance of your teeth in general, then consider taking out dental implant insurance.

Teeth Cleaning Basics

Brushing your teeth at least twice every single day is the best way for you to whiten your teeth. This is absolutely basic knowledge but you would be surprised at how many people don’t do this. When you brush your teeth twice a day, you can easily reduce your chances of developing gingivitis.

If you are able to invest in an electric toothbrush then this will boost your results even more. You can also get those hard to reach places as well so this is a fantastic way for you to really boost the results you are already getting. Another great tip, for strong and healthy teeth, is to floss once a day or use a great tool like a Waterpik to get in hard-to-reach spaces between tight teeth.

Avoid Fizzy Sugary Drinks

Fizzy, sugary drinks are absolutely awful for you. The sugar in them will decay your teeth and fizzy drinks are also acidic. This ultimately means that they can damage your teeth in more ways than one and if you drink cola, or other artificially colored soft drinks, then you may even find that you experience teeth staining as well. This is the last thing that you want when you are trying to whiten your teeth and it could even result in permanent damage.

If you want to try to reverse the staining that you have, then look for a toothpaste that contains hydrogen peroxide. This will help you lighten some of the stains. But for a really deep cleaning, and ultimate whiteness, you should visit a professional for best results. If you drink a lot of coffee, or black tea, then you should also try to cut back on these beverages as well. Coffee and tea can stain your teeth as much as cola.
