The current social distancing rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19, AKA the Coronavirus, are certainly having an effect on our love lives. One of our previous blog posts took a look at how to date during the current Coronavirus health crisis.
Some people may be all alone and any chance of romance has been delegated to an entirely online experience. But does that get old after a while and is being on lockdown 24/7 having a negative impact on your romance and love life?
If you are looking for ideas for long-distance dating or Suffolk dating then you have come to the right place. Read on to learn some top tips on how to make your relationship and love life work during this time of in-house lockdown and social distancing during the current health crisis.
Yes It’s Okay to Mention the S Word
With the current COVID-19 health crisis and social distancing in effect, the S word (S-E-X) is pretty much off the table right now. But you can take the time to really get to know someone, at least virtually, before deciding to arrange for an in-person date. That way once the social lockdown is over, you should have a potential Mr. or Mrs. Right in mind that you would like to get to know better up close and in person.
Luckily for you, if you are looking for Birmingham sex, romance, Leeds sex, companionship or Prince Charming – it’s as simple as joining an online dating site or using an app on your phone. Continue on to read my story of looking for love long before online dating was a thing.
How to Have a Love Life Despite the Current Health Scare
Is it actually possible to have any kind of love life during the current COVID-19 health crisis? Love Fife Singles is the best place to find people like you looking for love and romance in the UK or really anywhere since it is an online dating site.
Back in the day when I first moved to Florida and was looking for love, or a friend with benefits at the very least, I signed up with one of those old fashioned dating sites. If you’re a few decades younger than me, you might not know what I’m talking about.
This goes back to the early 1990s – long before online dating was a thing. You paid a fee to register with the dating service and in return they took a series of “glamorous” photos and created a short video of you introducing yourself (Hello world). Potential mates would look through the binders of photos, view the videos of the people they thought looked interesting and then the dating service would make preliminary introductions.
The introductions were pretty basic – the dating service would call me and say, “hey, someone viewed your profile and would like to meet you.” Then I would drive to the dating service, view the photos and video of the person that was interested in me and decide if I wanted to exchange phone numbers or not.
And that was it – once you had each other’s phone number it was up to you to make the call and decide if you wanted to meet in person. It was still a whole lot of awkward and it was an awful lot of work. It’s so much easier now with social media, video chats, instant messaging, texting, etc. I don’t know how anyone survived dating back in the stone ages – HA-HA!
