Notes

Oven Roasted Brussels Sprouts Recipe Tips and Suggestions
  1. Adjust the amount of garlic, salt, and pepper used in this recipe, according to personal taste.
  2. For easy clean-up, line the baking sheet with a piece of aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  3. Don't overcook the Brussels sprouts. It is better to have a slightly crunchy vegetable than an overcooked, and mushy vegetable.
  4. For a slightly spicy version of oven-roasted Brussels sprouts, toss in a few red pepper flakes, or a few shakes of hot pepper sauce, before placing the Brussels sprouts in the oven.
  5. Additional seasonings that can be added to the Brussels sprouts, in addition to, or instead of the garlic and lemon, include fresh thyme, Parmesan cheese, or thinly sliced onions, or shallots.
  6. Brussels sprouts look a bit like miniature cabbages. Purchase Brussels sprouts that are as fresh as possible. Choose bright green Brussels sprouts, with tightly packed leaves. If possible, purchase the desired quantity of individual Brussels sprouts, instead of prepacked Brussels sprouts.
